Women of God can never be like women of the world. The world has enough women who are tough; we need women who are tender. There are enough women who are coarse; we need women who are kind. There are enough women who are rude; we need women who are refined. We have enough women of fame and fortune; we need more women of faith. We have enough greed; we need more goodness. We have enough vanity; we need more virtue. We have enough popularity; we need more purity. Margaret D. Nadauld

You're So Saucy!
Tonight's Dinner is going to be saucy drumsticks, rice pilaf (from a box), mixed vegetables, and red velvet cupcakes. One word: yum!
Saucy drumsticks
1 pkg drumsticks (about 6-8)
1 can tomato sauce
½ c honey
1 tsp garlic powder
½ tsp red pepper
1 c broth
Mix together sauce, honey & seasonings. Add broth. Put drumsticks in crockpot, pour sauce over top. Cook on low 10 hours. For extra lusciousness, you can add a drained can of sliced peaches or a jar of mango chutney.
Coleslaw
1 pkg broccoli slaw
1 c mayo
¼ c balsamic vinegar
3 tbsp sugar
1 apple chopped
1 c grapes, halved
¼ c walnuts
Mix mayo, vinegar & sugar together in a bowl, add other ingredients, stir well, refrigerate over night.
For dessert: red velvet cupcakes
Mmmmm, I'm such a fan of super saucy drumsticks. These ones look really delicious! :)

So funny - My mom always used to make a dish that looked exactly like this - we called it BBQ Chicken in a Pan. The ingredients must have be a little different, but it looks identical! Thanks for the trip down memory lane ;)
ReplyDeleteSwing by my blog to see how to make healthy ice cream, no ice cream maker required!
