Blackbird

In sunday school yesterday, we celebrated earth day and being good stewards of the our natural treasures. One of the verses we used was Matthew 6:26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them
As an object lesson, we made bird feeders out of recycled materials.

To make them you need
Plastic Soda bottle rinsed clean with cap
Bird seed
Pencils or wooden dowels
Yarn
Sharp knife or scissors

cut holes in 2 sides of the bottle going all the way across
Insert dowels or pencils
Pour in birdseed
Re-cap
Tie yarn around top of bottle
Hang in your yard and watch the birds come and visit
