Bad Habit



I am trying to find healthier alternatives to my sweet tooth, and some days I succeed better than others. Lately, I’ve been dreaming about certain foods. 



One happens to be that hearty, creamy treat known as carrot cake. I actually make mine as a carrot citrus cake which gives it a little more zestiness. Its also calorie laden, so I had to find another way to get the flavor without adding more fat to me.

So I created a carrot creamsicle juice.



 

Carrot Creamsicle

3-5 carrots

1 key lime (or ½ larger lime)

1 orange, quartered

1 chunk fresh ginger

Handful parsley

Dash cinnamon



 

Run the veggies and fruit through the juicer. Stir in cinnamon and serve.
