It's been a crazy few weeks in . I've mbeen busy with work, planning for the upcoming church school year and getting my groove back-all while trying to beat the heat.
News flash: it's hot.
Really, really hot.
It's at the point where sidewalks are buckling, tempers are flaring and worse. I live in South Dakota, not Arizona. We are not used to 100 degree temps.
At least this craft chick is not.
After weeks of high temperatures, I feel as if I'm melting into a pool of molten fleshi tangled with pony tail holders, tank tops and capris. I am just HOT
There are a few ways to keep cool .
Stay hydrated. We have been drinking copious amounts of strawberry lemonade (recipe here: http://mommydomchronicles.blogspot.com/2012/05/strawberry-girl.html?m=1)
The other thing is home made frozen yogurt. Couldn't be easier
1 container plain yogurt
1 c berries
2 tsp honey or agave
Fresh mint
Place yogurt & berries in a blender. Purée together. Pour into a freezer safe container, stir in sweetener. Freeze 4-6 hours. Serve garnished with mint.
Women of God can never be like women of the world. The world has enough women who are tough; we need women who are tender. There are enough women who are coarse; we need women who are kind. There are enough women who are rude; we need women who are refined. We have enough women of fame and fortune; we need more women of faith. We have enough greed; we need more goodness. We have enough vanity; we need more virtue. We have enough popularity; we need more purity. Margaret D. Nadauld
