The Sun & the Rain
One month ago today, my mother collapsed and was rushed to the hospital. I won't go into detail, but lets just say she was really REALLY sick. Sick enough to require a week long hospital stay and since them, time in a nursing home to regain strength. In between, our lives have been upended. I stop by to see her most nights on my way home from work. Dinner is later for my family. I send less time with my boys. I'm running on empty because of constantly running, between doctor appointments, care team meetings, errands & activities.
However, I am grateful my mother is going to make a full recovery.
