A Salt with a Deadly Pepa

I will admit I am a bit of a pushover. I dont like conflict, so I try my best to avoid it. I try to keep myself in a pretty zen state. I practice yoga and meditation. I like to keep things organized and tidy. I am, for the most part, a highly positive, energetic person.
There are times though where I've been drained, exhausted, lethargic and talked out. As hard as I have tried to be as happy as possible, for my sake as well as my family's, that wall of bliss is continually being breached. The vibes surrounding me are not always harmonious, if you want to put it in new agey terms.
Speaking of new agey, I am definitely there. I like my crystals. I balance my chakras. I burn incense and smudge my home. I use essential oils, much to my husband's chagrin. I pray to my angels. I receive reiki.
No matter how hard I have tried to protect my home, there has been an invasion into it, and that needs to stop. I smudge on a regular basis. As I clean, I ask the angels for protection. Yet, nothing seems to last more than a day or so. I talked to some of my fellow new age friends and they have all suggested a salt barrier.
From ancient times, the use of salt has been linked to protection and keeping the bad stuff out and the good stuff in. Apparently, its quite simple. You take table salt (you know the stuff you add to everything) and walk around the perimeter of your property. You can chant or pray or visualize or all three as you are doing this. It is supposed to draw a line in the sand as it were for things to not cross.
The weird thing is, I think it worked. Some of the more lower vibrational characters in my world have stopped lurking in life. There are fewer disagreements in my home. The air is fresher.
There is more bliss
