I love the color purple, almost as much as my son does. In fact, it's one of my favorite colors to wear (in addition to red) and I have several different fashion choices in various shades of purple.
Purple is the color of royalty. Liturgically it is the color of Lent and repentance. Today is Ash Wednesday, the start of Lent, so purple was an obvious choice.
My inspiration came from a Kate Spade clutch, which made me fall in love with the jacket. I paired it with a black long sleeved tee, black trousers and ankle boots.
What makes the outfit pop are the accessories. I love the bracelet that I've had for a gazillion years, and the vintage glass bead necklace (on sale in my Etsy shop http://www.etsy.com/listing/92873346/purple-vintage-glass-strung-necklace?ref=cat_gallery_6).
Put it all together and I'm a purple person!
Women of God can never be like women of the world. The world has enough women who are tough; we need women who are tender. There are enough women who are coarse; we need women who are kind. There are enough women who are rude; we need women who are refined. We have enough women of fame and fortune; we need more women of faith. We have enough greed; we need more goodness. We have enough vanity; we need more virtue. We have enough popularity; we need more purity. Margaret D. Nadauld
