It's day 3 of the icepocalypse in South Dakota. We had a massive ice storm that hit on Tuesday, which was followed by eight inches of snow yesterday. In April. That means it won't linger, but the damage to trees and power lines has already happened. Fortunately our power came back relatively quickly, and we've had heat.
This morning, a neighbor who has a plow on his truck cleaned out our cul de sac.
I've been hearing great stories about neighbors helping neighbors.
While it was exciting to not have school for a few days, the inevitable boredom set in today. That's when I sent the little man outside to go play. Soon, a neighborhood snowball fight broke out, and laughter filled the air.
Making the most of riding the storm out.

Women of God can never be like women of the world. The world has enough women who are tough; we need women who are tender. There are enough women who are coarse; we need women who are kind. There are enough women who are rude; we need women who are refined. We have enough women of fame and fortune; we need more women of faith. We have enough greed; we need more goodness. We have enough vanity; we need more virtue. We have enough popularity; we need more purity. Margaret D. Nadauld
