Weak in the Presence of Beauty

I will be the first to admit that I don’t exactly have a super duper beauty routine. In fact, most beauty editors will cringe when I discuss what I really do to take care of myself. In the shower, I use facial cleanser to wash my face. I alternate between Neutrogena & St. Ives Apricot scrub. Clean & Clear has been my toner of choice since I was a teenager, and some things do not improve with age. Right now, I am into Garnier moisturizer. It makes my skin feel smooth, and it isn’t greasy. Then, its onto the make up. I don’t use a lot, most days. If I think of it, and I have time, I use foundation and under eye concealer (my bags are big enough for Kate Spade to want them). Most days, it’s a little blush, eye shadow, eye liner and mascara. I don’t put on lipstick until I’m done with my kisses for the morning.

At night, I am so bad at remembering to take off my make up and do that whole before bed beauty routine. Honestly, I do remember it some nights, but other nights I just collapse into bed and I remember when I wake up unable to open my eyes due to clumped mascara. When I do, I use eye make up remover gel stuff. I got a whole bunch of Estee Lauder’s eye make up remover in the swag bags (you know, you buy perfume & you get all sorts of free stuff) that its what I am using right now. Then I use Aveeno to wash my face. I use night of Olay which, once again is something I’ve used for eons and it works really well for me.
