Fly Like an Eagle

My son is a proud Boy Scout. He loves being a part of it, and I'm watching him grow and develop as a person.

In scouting, there are many different ceremonies. There are crossing over ceremonies and courts of honor. The pinnacle of a scouting career is achieving Eagle Scout. Only about 6% achieve this honor.

Recently our troop held a court of honor for three remarkable young men, who were welcomed into Eagle Scouting.

Little Man participated in the ceremony too. Candles were lit, chronicling the journey from tenderfoot (the first rank in Boy Scouts) through to eagle. It was a really heartfelt ceremony, emphasizing how important this achievement is.

I hope my tenderfoot continues his scouting journey to Eagle too.
