One day I'd like to have thighs that don't jiggle and wiggle. I would also appreciate it if they didn't rub together when I walked. Now that we are going into warmer weather, it can be painful because of that heat rash friction thing.
One move that's in my arsenal is the sumo squat.
It's actually more of a wide pliƩ, for those who are more dance inclined.
Start with your feet together (I start in first position)
Step out to where your feet are hip width apart
Squat and hold for a breath
Do for 2 sets of 12
Women of God can never be like women of the world. The world has enough women who are tough; we need women who are tender. There are enough women who are coarse; we need women who are kind. There are enough women who are rude; we need women who are refined. We have enough women of fame and fortune; we need more women of faith. We have enough greed; we need more goodness. We have enough vanity; we need more virtue. We have enough popularity; we need more purity. Margaret D. Nadauld

Don't Give Up
I was looking at pictures from last Easter vs now. I was-wait for it-nearly 50 lbs lighter and almost 5 dress sizes smaller. I had more energy. I felt better about myself over all.
Somehow I wound up consuming a whopping 175,000 extra calories. That breaks down to approximately 3300 extra calories a week for the past year. 480 calories a day. That means even if I ate the same and did nothing else just drinking 3 cans of coke would do that.
I had a wake up call when my son asked if there was a brother or sister in my stomach. No honey, mommy is just fat.
There are a wide variety of reasons why I added a steady diet of soda and no exercise. The bottom line is the lack of self respect. I know what I need to do to be healthy-eat whole foods, drink water, get enough sleep, pray/meditate, move-and love myself enough to do it.
3 cans of soda daily. Was it worth it?
Not working out. Was it worth it?
Lying to myself. Was it worth it?
Luckily, I do get another chance to start over tomorrow. And if I need to, the next day, and the next and the next.
You get the picture.
Don't give up.
