No one is holy like the Lord. There is no one besides You, there is no Rock like our God.
My life seems to be constantly changing. I need to keep up with technology, nutrition, fashion trends, musical tastes and more. It seems whenever I turn around, I have something new to learn. My son keeps growing and maturing, my husband and I seem to be aging faster. Change and flux are all around us. In the midst of chaos, I need the knowledge that there are things that don’t change.
Isaiah 40:28
Do you not know?
Have you not heard?
The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary and his understanding no one can fathom.
I need a tangible reminder of the fact that God is my rock, my stronghold and foundation. When I was in Sunday School many, many years ago, we painted reminder rocks. They were simple backyard stones that we transformed into a reminder to pray and God’s love as real and permanent as that rock. Some of my classmates made their rocks into people, others into animals. I kept mine simple, with several different colors but no googly eyes. Over time, and many moves, that rock disappeared, but what it represented did not.

Paint
Decorations
Spray sealer
Paint and decorate your rock. Spray with sealer to keep paint from cracking and peeling.
