Last Christmas

Now that the holidays are winding down, and decorations are being packed away, it's time to repurpose some of the goodies received. A great way to end the season is turning cards into ornaments or gift tags.

You need:
Cards
Circle punch
Glue
Ribbon
Craft supplies (glitter, markers, etc)

Use the circle punch to punch out piece. Decorate. Add a ribbon hanger to back with glue.

I am all about upcycling, and I found a great project for Crystal Lite containers.

We drink a lot of crystal lite instead of soda, and always have tons of containers.
One way to repurpose is to turn them into pen cups!

take a crystal lite container
remove the label

modge podge paper to it

let dry
enjoy!

My whole family are baseball fanatics,

so this baseball quilt is really awesome!

This dress makeover is so cute and the instructions are very well done.

We spend so much time at the pool in the summer. This looks like a quick, easy project that we all can love!

I have an issue with a bunch of skirts that I love...the shortness worked about 5 years ago, but now that I am in mommy mode, and the fact that I am in my 40's with 40ish knobby knees, I love this idea

I love this idea...and I saw pre-smocked fabric at Walmart that could make
a perfect summer dress

It always makes me grin when I can take a jumble of craft supplies and turn them into something spectacular!
One of the biggest trends in the crafting community is "upcylcing".  It is the process of converting waste materials or useless products into new materials or products of better quality or a higher environmental value (from wiki answers)

Supplies:

t-shirt (We used adult size XL)



scissors

sewing machine with matching thread

1. Begin by straightening out your t-shirt. Iron if it's very wrinkly. Then, fold your shirt in half so the sleeves are lined up.

2. Cut around the sleeves

3. Cut around the neck . At this point, your t-shirt will look like a tanktop.

4. Sew across the bottom of the shirt while it's right side out. Then flip the shirt (now a bag) inside out and sew across the bottom again. The second seam you sew is going to be above the first.


5. Now to make the bottom boxy. While still inside out, make a triangle. Sew across (perpendicular to the seam) to make the stitch the base of the triangle

decorate and embellish! Or you can leave it naked too...
