Someday I'll Be Saturday Night

Its almost Friday, and I am glad this week is almost over.

The sun came out today for the first time in a week, and for some strange reason, I wound up with a migraine shortly afterward. I used to get migraines all the time, but this is only the second one I've had in the last 7 months since surgery, so I think I am doing ok. In fact, when it started, it was a bit of a shock because it had been so long.

Sad news: Little Man & I are big fans of Love Always, Bear. We read it daily, its the adventures of a family of dogs (and they wind up dressed up too!)

 One of the dogs, Fuzz,

RIP Fuzz. May you enjoy life on the other side of the rainbow bridge
passed away. Made me hug my puppy dog a little tighter.

No big weekend plans.
If the weather is nice, I want to go to the pool.

The Outdoor Campus has a womens try it event. I was supposed to go kayaking tonight,

but I was sidelined by the migraine.
Maybe the park

Saturday night there are outdoor movies at Fawick Park.

This week is Despicable Me.

Pop some popcorn at home, bring some cherry limeade, some fresh baked chocolate chip cookies, and yum we are all set.
Sunday, cookout with the family.
Rest and enjoy the Sabbath.

Restore.

Friday, Friday

Its Friday, such a blissful word...especially in the world of a working momma.
The week has been long and I've been short on patience.
I admit it, I've been quite the grouch.

Its been a hard week...usually when its a short one, I'm busier than heck at work, and then add to it just getting through the day and I'm cranky.

Yes, cranky mommy has reared her ugly head again.

But its Friday, and I am looking forward to the weekend.

We have a road trip planned for today.

Tomorrow I have my usual weekly cleaning, errands and I have to iron.

Sunday is church, and a day of rest.

I think we have some pool and picnic time in there as well.
Then all will be right in the world again.

Let Them In

As I was blog surfing the other day, I came across this:
http://www.nobiggie.net/tag/5-things-mom
I thought this was a great picture but what really wowed me was the door decor. I thought it would make a great weekend project. So in order to make it, I went to my favorite crafting site, http://shop.hobbylobby.com/. (please note, I am NOT sponsored in any way shape or form. The links I use are to people, places or things I like)
It seems like it will be easy to make:

First, get a frame:
$9.99, Hobby Lobby
I decided on a plain, pine frame.

Then, to paint it, I decided on Folk Art Paint in red, to match the bricks on the front of my house.
$2.49
You paint the frame, and if you want you can antique it.

$7.99
Then, you make a really big bow with wired ribbon and attach it.

The next step it is to decorate the mirror

$2.99
I'm going to use vinyl peel & stick letters to spell out welcome.

$1.99 each

And this is the end result:
