For the Feast of St Francis, our church did a blessing of the animals. It was a little cold and windy, but Sonny did get his blessing and so did Teddy. Its funny because Sonny is a Lab/Newf mix (both water dogs) and he HATES water. He did turn up his nose at Father Morgan, but suffered through. We made friends with some of the other dogs (not so much the cats though. Sonny had never seen one on a leash before). We were a bit shell shocked by Father Morgan's dog Rudy but settled down enough to pose for some pictures. Ready for my close up!

Women of God can never be like women of the world. The world has enough women who are tough; we need women who are tender. There are enough women who are coarse; we need women who are kind. There are enough women who are rude; we need women who are refined. We have enough women of fame and fortune; we need more women of faith. We have enough greed; we need more goodness. We have enough vanity; we need more virtue. We have enough popularity; we need more purity. Margaret D. Nadauld
