Its Friday, and a long week is drawing to a close. Pizza Bingo, an event that has consumed my life for the last month, is this evening. Next focus, the Silent Auction for the Cathedral Underground for the pilgrimage fund. And you know, my family and home. All the little things that get neglected. My sister flies in today to Omaha. Little Man is excited to see the princess and spend time with her. Due to the weather during Christmas, there wasn't much of a choice. I'd love to go over to my mom's and go swimming in the indoor pool or whatnot.
However, at least the next few days are insanely busy. I am looking forward to having Friday and the following Monday off to spend time with my little dude (and big dude too). I am actually in a great place in terms of my home and managing my life.
Today-I am having lunch with a friend (bringing leftover tuna noodle casserole and pineapple dump cake). Pizza bingo is tonight and its going to be a lot of fun!!
Tomorrow is altar guild clean up day, set up for the Palm Sunday brunch, grocery shopping, pick up the little man's pictures from Harold's, make muffins for the brunch on Sunday and a bunch of other little things. (chicken parm for dinner)
Sunday-little man sings in choir and the Palm Sunday brunch at church. make a target run, make Easter candy & cards, dye eggs with the little man, hang out with my family, do a lot of meal prep for the week (turkey burgers, oven fries, veggies, brownies)
Monday-nothing going on yet :) (3 bean burritos, rice, tres leches cake)
Tuesday-I have my scrapbook class!! (chicken alfredo, garlic bread, Mediterranian spinach, fake tiramisu)
Wednesday-dinner out with the family (and stopping by the youth group to go over how to request silent auction items)
Thursday-Holy Thursday. I have a special seder meal planned
Friday-Good Friday Church. Fish & chips for dinner prep stuff for Sunday (so I am not overwhelmed)and just enjoy my day off.
Saturday-need to find an Easter egg hunt for the little man (or have one in our yard on Sunday)-homemade pizza & wings, brownies a la mode
Sunday-Easter!!!
Ok so I am a little bit insane. But I want to live life to the fullest each and every day. Its such a gift, and there are days where I feel like I am not making the most of it. I have a list of should's, and its hard for me to not beat myself up over it. For example, last night I should have had the little man do his checklist before bed, but what would have been the point? I had some church ladies over, and it was almost 9 by the time they left, the wii got turned off & all. Was it more important to make sure everything was done, or that we got some rest (I think the sleep was more important).
Speaking of sleep, there is a plan for me to get some rest with everything that's going on here. There are a few days coming up with beautiful weather that would be perfect for after dinner walks (puppy dog will love that!) and trips to the park. I can have time to recharge my batteries (hence, scrapbook class on Tuesday-it should be a lot of fun!). I also want to put together a page kit this weekend so I can scrap at lunch time. It helps clear my mind big time, and I can refocus, as well as doing something for my family.
