Serenity

I had a French teacher in high school that started every class with the Serenity prayer. I figured it was to give him the strength to deal with bunch of obnoxious, priviliged kids circa 1986, although I don't know the true story behind why he chose that particular prayer. It did make an impact on me, because I find myself uttering it when I am facing a particular dire task. Merci, Pere Bernevich.
Today is Palm Sunday, and the Little Man will be singing in church today. Afterwards, we have the brunch at church, which also brings to an end another project that I've worked very hard on. I am glad to see plans come to fruition. After church I have to do a library run, as well as go to Target (Easter basket supplies). I need to upload photos from the camera and then order them from Harold's to pick up tomorrow when I pick up the little man's portrait order. This way I can finish scrapping January, February and March. In addition, I need to finish putting together a page kit for what I am going to be scrapping. I think I'll start with January and work my way out from there. I have some Easter candy to make too (I love making chocolates for my family!) and a few other things to prep for the week.
This upcoming week the big man has to get up even earlier to be to work at 1 AM, so he has to go to bed very early. I have to plan some fun for me and the little man this week. Its going to be beautiful out too, so I think we should start walking the puppy dog again after dinner. It would be good for all of us.
Speaking of dinner, this week I've got some good meals planned: tonight, chicken parm. Monday-3 bean burritos, Spanish rice, corn, tres leches cake. Tuesday-chicken alfredo over whole wheat pasta, broccoli alla oglio, mock tiramisu. Wednesday-dinner out with grandmah & the princess Thursday-seder dinner (rosemary chicken, noodle kugel, charoset, macaroons) Friday-fish & chips, dirt cups Saturday-homemade pizza & wings brownie sundaes. For Easter, something different. Lasagna, garlic bread, Mediterrian spinach, salad, basket cupcakes.
I also have a bunch of little things to do around the house-tidy up for Easter, do laundry, iron, deep cleaning the family room, foyer and kitchen. Its all good and very manageable. Plus I have to help the Easter bunny deliver his baskets and go on an Easter egg hunt around the house & yard. Lots of planning for the big day next Sunday-and not lose the religious significance of Easter as well.
But first we need to get through today!
