every mile a memory

I spent what I consider to be my formative years in Salt Lake City. I lived there in the 1980's, when it was still a little bit isolated from the outside world.

I have a lot of fond memories of living there, and I made some friendships that are lasting through today. That is a huge accomplishment, to say the least, as we maintained contact over the years when social networking or email didn't exist.
I digress.
One of my favorite places to go back then was Memory Grove.

I liked the quietness of it, and the fact that I was able to sit and write. Or just be.

I would walk along the creek or run on the trails.

I had my favorite bench to stop and write.
There was a chance to give pause at the chapel.

And just be.
