We have this really awesome museum here in town the Museum of Visual Materials http://m.sfmvm.com/#home_page
They have all sorts of fun, artsy displays as well as do cool events. We went to their Easter party earlier this year, where we dyed eggs, made bunny ears, and cards. So much fun!
This year, they are doing a holiday expo on Sunday, December 4 from 12-4. I will be doing a cooking demo called "Heck Yeah It's Vegan!"
I plan on doing a few easy peasy I can't believe it's vegan recipes. One is the cashew walnut pate I featured yesterday.
Another is what I had for dinner yesterday: mock tuna salad
1 can chick peas, drained & rinsed
1/2 c veganaise
1 kosher dill pickle, diced
2 scallions, chopped
1 tablespoon jalepeno slices
1/2 tsp sea salt
1 tsp fresh ground pepper
Add all ingredients to a blender, purée until smooth. Serve as a sandwich or as a filling for romaine leaves,
Women of God can never be like women of the world. The world has enough women who are tough; we need women who are tender. There are enough women who are coarse; we need women who are kind. There are enough women who are rude; we need women who are refined. We have enough women of fame and fortune; we need more women of faith. We have enough greed; we need more goodness. We have enough vanity; we need more virtue. We have enough popularity; we need more purity. Margaret D. Nadauld
