Wearing Glasses

A few weeks ago, my son mentioned that he was having a hard time seeing the board in school. It wasn't a big surprise. He has strabismus and amblyopia and required several surgeries when he was younger. The ophthalmologist then said he would probably require some sort of vision correction as he grew up.
Believe it or not, Little Man was excited to get glasses! He had prism ones when he was in kindergarten to strengthen his eye muscles, since patching wasn't working. Due to that, it was an easy transition for him.
I have worn eyeglassessince middle school, and it's become a fashion trademark for me.
Since I truly need them to see, I need high quality, durable frames and lenses that will stand the test of time. That being said, we are a family that have to live within a budget, so cheap glasses are a must!
Inspired by my kiddo, I went to the eye doctor for my annual exam recently. For the first time in about 20 years, my prescription has changed. In fact, due to my "age", I'm looking at multifocal glasses in the next five or so years. I don't think that I'm ready for that-yet!
