Things in my life seem to turn on a dime. In the short space of 6 weeks, my mother moved out and a 4 year old foster daughter moved in. Things change quickly and semi-permantly.
Its like what was relevant 6 weeks ago no longer relevant. They matter less and less as time goes on. We have settled into a routine and rythym of our new lives. Little Man has stepped up to the plate and has become an awesome big brother. He has amazed us with some of the changes he has made in his life to the better.
I have decided that I am going to make a long dormant dream of mine a reality. I want to run a marathon-actually one day I want to do a triathalon, but we're starting with the running portion first. I used to be a runner years ago, but for whatever reason I stopped. So here I am starting all over again.
My goal is to be able to run in the Brookings Marathon next spring. I have almost 10 months to train, and I can do it.
In order to get into training mode, I of course have to start with an IMix. So far, its 4 hours-which is what I am thinking its going to take me first time out. Time to hit the treadmill!
