La Vita Bella

Its been a long week. I keep attempting the mobile blogging thing without much success, and its incredibly frustrating. I've been fighting off a cold and its taken all the fight out of me it seems. Big Man caught it from me yesterday and when he gets sick, he gets sick. Poor guy is so miserable and suffering so, and its been rough on him as well. He had to have a tooth pulled on Monday-so the week started poorly for him, and has ended poorly with him being sick.
In between times, Little Man turned seven on Tuesday, to much fanfare. He of course got spoiled greatly. Lots of K-Nex from Grammah, money and gift cards. I made him a wisdom book-its a collage book with lots of great wisdom quotes. I thought it was very creative and brilliant, but with his 7 year old knowledge, he did not feel the same way. Maybe when he is older and wiser, more appreciation will come.
The next morning, very early I might add, I was awakened to a rousing rendition of Happy Birthday to Sonny who turned 4 in dog years. I think Little Man was more excited about Sonny's birthday than his own. So adorable and so perfect and so very early. A perfect way to be awakened. However, since I wasn't feeling great, it was a little lost on me.
The rest of the week was business as usual-work, school, chores, homework, planning schedules for the next week. Hoping for the best and realizing that I am overscheduled for the next week. Monday-daycare meeting. Tuesday-PTSA committee meeting. Wednesday-youth group. Thursday-book group. Friday-nothing (yet) Saturday all day training at church. Sunday-church. And the madness begins again. Sonny is barking ferociously at something outside-probably the neighbor's dog-and I am watching something on the Loch Ness monster on Discovery channel. Its hosted by Phillipe Cousteau who is the grandson of Jacques. I loved his specials when I was a kid-back in the dark ages before 100's of tv channels. Little Man is playing Indiana Jones on X Box, and Big Man is resting, trying to feel better. Life is good in our house right now.
