Woofstock!

Today was Woofstock which is a great opportunity for my puppy dog to show off. After the initial drag to the dog park, Sonny settled down-and Little Man was all about the playground. Big Man supervised the child and I took the puppy dog around. Its leash free-and I am grateful that we have an incredible park system here in Sioux Falls.
For most outsiders, when I say that I live in Sioux Falls, SD-they look at me incredously. Like I live in one of the 7 cirles of Hell or something akin to it. I actually like living here-its more laid back than the East Coast. There are some incredible restaurants here (although there really isn't any good Chinese, or to my husband's chagrin, pizza). Good shopping and some really great shops downtown. There's even a pretty hip art scene (haven't found a writers group yet, but I am sure that will come)
And then there are the parks. For a very long time I took Sonny on long walks on the bike trail or at the outdoor campus (nice wooded trails...wildlife...need I say more?)Plus the Little Man loves the playgrounds.
So...we went to Woofstock and Sonny loved being off leash and around other dogs. The first year they had it, it rained and it was more like Mudstock. The last couple of years we haven't gone because of scheduling conflicts. Today, the weather was perfect-sunny not too hot-and the crowd was into it.
Bow wow!
