Its day 2 of torrential rains. The big man isn't feeling well. Its cold & damp and it feels like October not May. Opening night of softball got rained out.
Yesterday I went on a field trip with the little man's class. We went to the butterfly house & outdoor campus. I was very pleasantly suprised how much my son knew about butterflies & how much he paid attention. The docent taught the kiddos the lifecycle of the butterfly in sign language. He was going around doing it last night & it was a lot of fun seeing the delight in his face.
I enjoyed the extra time with my little guy.
However there are times when I feel incredibly distracted. I don't quite focus on what's going on in front of me...I'm living in my head too much.
Field day was supposed to be today but its been rescheduled due to the rain. instead its sport team day. Big man wants the little dude to wear Yankee gear. Little man wants to wear Vikings stuff...decisions, decisions. Me? I'm like Switzerland. Totally n neutral.
my poor hubby was totally healthy all winter & now that its spring he's getting sick. You know he feels awful if he comes home sick from work...hoping that he can get some rest today & be back to normal soon...
Tonight my high school youth leaders are coming for dinner & a meeting.
