Up

What a week that was, and I am glad its over. Its Saturday, and I have the opportunity to regain my sanity today.

Somehow, I managed to get the laundry all caught up. The house is reasonably tidy. I don't have a gazillion things to do today, all because I kept up with things during the week. It hasn't exactly been easy, and there were a lot of other things that fell by the wayside.
Actually, that's not entirely true. I also managed to get my hair and make up done every morning, and not yell at the little man. We left the house happy and giggling, which sets the tone for the whole day.
One of the biggest things that I did to save our sanity was put together outfits for the week-both for myself and him. Mine include all my accessories so I just grab and go. That makes my morning go much more smoothly, because I don't waste time standing in front of my closet staring.
Next week's big improvement will be related to food. I learned in the past that if I make my fruit salad and salad salad in advance, I just grab and go and voila! I eat healthier. My other big "issue" is breakfast, and not really eating a healthy one. I do love omelettes made out of egg beaters and veggies-like spinach, stir fry veggies or broccoli-and and fruit and toast. My other favorite choice is oatmeal with dried fruit and nuts. The weird thing is I love to eat this healthy stuff, I just DON'T. And its going to make me pay the price later in life.
So, this week I am going to focus on what I eat and how to make it better. Its going to be something that will make all our lives better. I like being my best. And I seem to overachieve at it as well, but its all good.
Today I am going to throw the misc. laundry lingering at the bottom of the hamper into the washer and just get them all washed up and done. I am going to do the deep cleaning of the living room and foyer just to get things going around the house. I also need to plan some menus for next week, and update the calendar. I have a busy week ahead of me and I need to get things under control now rather than letter them spiral out of control before hand.
Sunday-grilled chicken sandwiches, corn, minted melon salad, broccoli slaw, baked potatoes
Monday-pasta, garlic bread, pesto vegetables (zucchini, yellow squash, broccoli)citrus topped pound cake
Tuesday-chicken stir fry, rice, veggies, wonton bites, mandarin orange fluff
Wednesday-waffles, fruit salad
Thursday-leftovers
Friday-tacos, refried beans, cilantro lime rice, avocado salad, tres leches cake
Saturday-dinner out with my boys :)
Things are looking up
