Nessun Dorma

I am not ashamed to admit that I love opera, especially Italian opera.

The art of the tenor and soprano,

with their magnificent arias, voices combining together-it doesn't get much better than that.

I was very lucky growing up. My grandmother and aunt were both huge opera fans, and as a result I got to go to the Met.

For a little kid, it is awe inspiring.

I did think that everyone had the same experiences I did growing up-it wasn't until I was much older that I realized that I was, unique.

The other awesome thing for a little girly girl was getting dressed up. I had my party dresses, that had a lot of petticoats and tulle underneath that made me feel like a princess. I loved getting dressed up and going with my family.

My favorite opera of all time is Il Trovatore, with the "Anvil Chorus" being the best known music from it.

My second favorite opera is Aida, which is also composed by Verdi.

Again, it is magnificent in scope and soaring music.

My all time favorite aria is from yet another Verdi opera, Rigoletto.

It is La Donna E Mobile, and Pavarotti was born to sing this role.
