Dead Man's Party

Last night, Little Man & I went to a Halloween party at the Museum of Visual Materials (http://m.sfmvm.com/) As always, the event was amazing!
It was a ghoulish good time!
We started the evening with a photo op, and a chance to color a picture. Since we are now 9, Little Man wanted to move onto the real fun: games.
First up: pumpkin dunking (such a cute name!). It's like the pick a duck game at carnivals: you pick a pumpkin out of a pool, and on the bottom is a number which corresponds to a prize bucket. Success!
We walked (or ran, more like it) across the spider web beam. We went so fast that the photo turned out to be a blur.
Our next game turned out to be a favorite: ring around the pumpkin. Little Man was so excited to win a glow stick bracelet (&, as he pointed out, it's orange! Like a pumpkin!)
They had this super cute fishing game where you "caught" a piece of candy. The first piece caught were twizzlers, which is NOT a favorite, but we were able to throw it back and get our favorite: skittles.
We had a candy corn toss, which was cute but really frustrating for my guy because he likes to be perfect. He did win candy, so that was all that mattered.
We had another photo op, this time with Charlie the Dragon (dinosaur?). So cute!
There was a cookie walk, which is a Midwest concept. Basically, it's like musical chairs, only you have circles that you need to land on to win. Second favorite prize of the night!
Beanbag tosses are fun, but require a specific skill set: a gentle underhand toss. It's hard to do in the dark! But Little Man was successful in his quest for more candy!!
Next favorite game was pumpkin bowling! Its bowling, with a pumpkin. Little Man was so excited to get a strike!
We also drank vampire blood (Hawaiian punch) and felt ears, eyeballs, guts and brains (ewwww)
The ultimate highlight of the evening however was the costume contest. Not that I'm bragging or anything...but my Super Mario won for silliest costume!! And he got a gumball machine, which is something he really wanted.
It was an awesome night!
