It's the most wonderful time of the year....

Time for me to start playing in the dirt. I love gardening and growing things. Last night I stopped by a local garden center and started drooling over plants. 

This year, I've got a plan of attack. This weekend, instead of a bouquet of flowers for Mother's Day, I want flowers to plant. I love doing pots on my deck and front porch.

 I'm planning on doing a salsa garden in a container. I'm going to plant peppers (the hotter the better! I like it spicy)

 A little cilantro...

And of course, tomatoes.

I love being able to gout to my deck and harvest for salsa whenever. Anything that makes tacos even better makes me happy.

Tonight's special meal: a recipe makeover, tacos

1lb ground turkey

1 c shredded carrots

1 bunch scallions

Taco seasoning

1 c water

Brown turkey, add carrots & scallions. Add taco seasoning & water, cook over medium until liquid is reduced. Serve with rice, beans & corn
