5/17/11 its a red & black kind of day

I have theme colors for each day. Mondays are white days; Tuesdays are red days, Wednesdays are purple, Thursdays are blue and Fridays are green. This little framework-that goes back to my high school days, mind you-have allowed me to put together outfits each week so I can keep my sanity.
I've said it before, and I will continue to say it over and over. I am a working mother. I have a full time job as well as working part time at church. In addition to that, I have a life. I need clothes that:
  • look good on me
  • make me feel good
  • work with the craziness of my life

I also live on the northern plains, so the weather changes frequently. All within about 15 minutes. The morning can start off damp and cold and it can be 80 degrees by lunch time. I used to get incensed that my morning choice of outfit did not work by the end of the day, but time has allowed me to roll with the flow.

The biggest issue is the fact in the beginning of the week things look a lot better than the do by the end of the week. I start off with a well planned, put together look. By Friday, things start to skid and I am lucky if there is hair and make up done.

On Tuesday, this was my choice of outfits. I like it because the skirt is flirty and makes me feel very 50's. The shirt worked in the morning, by the time I left work at lunch time, it was too hot (frost in the morning to 70 degrees). Removable layers are important.

I think it's pretty cool that you take 3WW and incorporate it into your regular postings about daily life. well done

fabulous collection of dresses, liked them. :)

it can be really troublesome if weather fluctuates that much.
