Poison

For our anniversary yesterday, the Big Man & I went out to lunch to Jumbo (China) Buffet. While we were eating, it was quite yummy. However, a few hours later, I got a gift I wasn't expecting: food poisoning.
When I get sick I have to take it easy to let my tummy rest.
Ginger ale and Ginger tea help me feel better. Keeping hydrated is important too.
The BRAT diet also helps settle things down. BRAT stands for bananas, rice, applesauce & toast. It's bland and binding and helps to stop some of the GI upset.
Probiotics, like yogurt or supplements, also help with restoring balance in your belly. Also oatmeal can help give you calories and helps bind you but you need to be careful because of the fiber.
One thing you should never, ever do is take something like immodium to stop diarrhea. Basically you want this bug out of you and you need to let it run it's course. If you are feeling dehydrated or just not feeling any better, call your doctor. it's better to be safe than wind up in the hospital (or worse!)
