Ribbon wrapped flip flops

I love flip flops. Unfortunately, I live on the arctic tundra, so outdoor flip flop season is brief. Therefore, I need to make the most of it. Each year I make myself a new pair and I make extras to give as gifts. This year, the 2014 model are ribbon wrapped.

It's super easy. You need a pair of flip flops, ribbon & glue.

Start at one end of the flip flop and dab some glue. Cut a length of ribbon, glue one end down. Wrap ribbon around them and glue the other end. 

I love giving a pair in a spa gift basket, which is perfect for a birthday present. 

A pedicure set, potpourri and some bath salts and it's a perfect present!

Decorated flip flops are super easy to make, and have an endless set of possibilities for how they look.

You need:
flip flops

eyelash yarn

tacky glue

1. take your flip flops and at the left side of one of the shoes, put a dab of tacky glue

2. wrap yarn around flip flop strap

3. at the other end, tie off and make a knot around strap. wrap end and glue

4. do for other flip flop

Another style of embellished flip flops are the ribbon wrapped ones. They are super cute and make a great bridal shower gift.

You will need:

flip flops

ribbon

ribbon rosette flowers

tacky glue

scissors

1. wrap ribbon around flip flop strap, glueing one end down.

2. Continue wrapping around flip flop strap

3. glue end down at the other end.

4. remove stem from ribbon rosette

5. glue rosette to center of flip flop
and you are done!
